Les gaz d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement doivent traverser les parois du substrat filtrant en passant par des canaux pour trouver leur chemin vers l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur (c&rsquo;est pourquoi on parle de \u00ab\u00a0wall flow filter\u00a0\u00bb en anglais).\u00a0Les particules fines se d\u00e9posent sur les parois sous la forme d&rsquo;un \u00ab\u00a0g\u00e2teau de suie\u00a0\u00bb. Ces filtres sont constitu\u00e9s de mat\u00e9riaux c\u00e9ramiques en nid d&rsquo;abeille comme la cordi\u00e9rite et le carbure de silicium.<\/p>\n<p>Un filtre \u00e0 particules \u00e0 parois poreuses en c\u00e9ramique affiche une tr\u00e8s haute efficacit\u00e9 de captage et va quasiment \u00e9liminer toutes les particules des gaz d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement, y compris les particules fines d&rsquo;un diam\u00e8tre de moins de 100 nanom\u00e8tres (nm) avec une efficacit\u00e9 &gt; 95% en masse et &gt; 99% en nombre de particules. De ce fait, il est indispensable que le filtre se nettoie r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement en br\u00fblant la suie collect\u00e9e (r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration), sinon l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e de suie en continu dans le filtre finirait par le boucher.<\/p>\n<p>Les m\u00e9thodes qui r\u00e9ussissent le mieux \u00e0 atteindre la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration avec des filtres \u00e0 particules install\u00e9s apr\u00e8s coup sont entre autres:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>L&rsquo;int\u00e9gration d&rsquo;un catalyseur d&rsquo;oxydation en amont du filtre qui, en plus d&rsquo;agir comme un catalyseur d&rsquo;oxydation conventionnel, accro\u00eet \u00e9galement la proportion de NO<sub>2<\/sub> par rapport au NO dans les gaz d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement. Les particules captur\u00e9es br\u00fblent alors \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement moindres gr\u00e2ce aux puissantes propri\u00e9t\u00e9s oxydantes du NO<sub>2<\/sub> et de l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;application d&rsquo;un rev\u00eatement catalytique sur le filtre. Ceci abaisse le point d&rsquo;\u00e9clair pour la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration.<\/li>\n<li>L&rsquo;ajout d&rsquo;additifs au carburant, comme des additifs \u00e0 base de fer, d&rsquo;oxyde c\u00e9rique ou de platine, par le biais d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de dosage automatique embarqu\u00e9. Ces additifs se m\u00e9langeront aux particules des gaz d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement. Le point d&rsquo;\u00e9clair permettant au processus de r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de d\u00e9buter baissera ainsi d&rsquo;\u00e0 peu pr\u00e8s 650 \u00b0C \u00e0 environ 300 \u00e0 330 \u00b0C.\u00a0 Afin de maintenir \u00e0 long terme un fonctionnement sans probl\u00e8me du filtre, il est essentiel que le filtre \u00e0 particules puisse se r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer \u00e0 temps.<\/li>\n<li>Un br\u00fbleur \u00e9lectrique externe. Cette m\u00e9thode ne vaut que pour les applications industrielles.<\/li>\n<li>Un br\u00fbleur de gazole dans la conduite d&rsquo;\u00e9chappement, en amont du FAP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00cates-vous int\u00e9ress\u00e9 par l&rsquo;\u00e9quipement ult\u00e9rieur de v\u00e9hicules avec des FAP?
